Dolly Blue Designs

This project was born out of my newfound love for the craft, Crochet. After having learnt to crochet as a form of escape during the first lockdown, I had created far too many items to keep for myself, so I wanted to create my own branding so that I would be able to sell my handmade items.

As people are consciously searching for slow fashion and independent retailers, crocheted items are making a resurgence. However, it hasn’t quite reached the level that it did in the 1970s, when crochet fashion was everywhere. Due to the crafts deep-rooted links to the 1970s, my designs take inspiration from patterns and shapes found within that era. Even the colour palette is consciously reminiscent of the 70s.
